I consider this tutorial for intermediate to advanced level, but I included some graphics so that maybe beginners can follow it. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. This tutorial uses selections that I have made. Click on the link to download the zipped file of the selections, then unzip into a separate folder. To do this tutorial you will also need Paint Shop Pro. I used Paint Shop Pro 7.0 . You may download a free trial at Jasc. This tutorial also uses Eye Candy 3.1--Fur plugin. Remember to save as a psp file often! 1. To begin, open a new
file, 319 by 500, 72 resolution, transparent background,
2. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Find the folder where you saved the selections,
3. Click on the Paint can
(flood fill) icon on the left side. Click on the foreground
4. While still selected,
click on Effects--Plugins--Eye Candy 3.1--Fur. Change to these
![]() 5. Go to Selections--Load from disk. Choose roosterwing.sel. Click ok. 6. Click on Colors--Adjustments--Brightness/Contrast.
Set Brightness = -20 (negative

from disk. Find the folder where you saved the selections,
8. Click on Layers--Add New Raster Layer. Save as PSP file 9. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Choose roostercrown.sel. Click ok. Flood Fill
10. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Choose roostertail1.sel. Click ok. Flood Fill
11. Click on Effects--3D
Effects--Drop Shadow. Apply these settings: horizontal and

14. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Choose roostertail_shadow.sel. Click ok. Click
15. Click on Layers--Add New Raster Layer. Save. 16. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Choose roosterfeet.sel. Click ok. Flood Fill
17. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Choose roosterfeet_shadow.sel. Click ok. Click
18. Click on Layers--Add New Raster Layer. Save. 19. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Choose roostertoes.sel. Click ok. Flood Fill
20. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Choose roosterbeak.sel. Click ok. Flood Fill
22. Go to Selections--Load
from disk. Choose roostereye.sel. Click ok. Flood Fill
23. Click on Effects--3D
Effects--Inner Bevel. Apply these settings: pie-shape,
