You will also need the marble plugin for  Eye Candy 4000.  You may download a demo of Eye Candy 4000 here.

Or you may use one of these marble tiles.  Just right-click and save into your folder.
 
 
 

1.  Open a new file: 400 x 400, resolution= 72,000, transparent background, 16.7 million colors.

2.    Choose a border color.   If you are making the filigree background, then use the same color as you used for your texture background.  I chose to use the color #0000C0.  Make this color your foreground color.  Make your background color White.

3.  Click on the left tool bar and choose the flood fill tool (paint can), and flood-fill the new file with your color choice by left-clicking.

4.  In the top tool bar, click Effects–Plugins–Eye Candy 4000–Marble. Apply these settings: Vein size=72.44, vein coverage = 79, vein thickness = 21, vein roughness = 30.  Make the bedrock color white by clicking on the white square for bedrock color.  Make the vein color the same as your foreground color by clicking on that square.  Check seamless tile.  Random seed = 1.  Click ok.

5.  In the left tool bar, double-click on the selection tool.   The select area box comes up.  Type in these settings: left = 150, right=250, top =150, bottom = 150.

6.  Click Selections–Convert to a seamless pattern.  A 100x100 tile will open up.   Click file–Save as and save this tile as a .jpg.  You may close the large tile without saving.
